As new business concepts from design to delivery evolve, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the future of the built environment includes a convergence of the business models we see and work within today. There are great productivity and economic efficiencies that can be gained through convergence of services in the built environment value chain.
During this session we will speak to Dr Forest Flager of Katerra. Dr. Flager is interested in creating more affordable and sustainable buildings by re-imaging how these products are designed and delivered. Forest’s teaching and research had a focus on the development and application of computational methods that augment human abilities to explore large design spaces and help designers to identify innovative solutions. He currently leads systems engineering and building optimisation at Katerra, Inc., a technology-driven offsite construction company based in Menlo Park, CA.
Attendance of these events is strictly by invitation only. The events will be led with a fire side chat with Forest, followed by networking over canapés and drinks.
